Open Cockpit Day was such great fun for so many people, we wanted to share some of the hundreds of photos we took at the event.
You can see by the pictures, our visitors, especially the children, enjoyed getting to sit in the very airplanes that made Edmonton’s aviation history. Our fourth annual Open Cockpit Day was the biggest yet, with 11 aircraft and 3 simulators. More than 1,300 people visited the museum during the event.
The DeLorean Time Machine was also a big hit. This remarkable car will remain on display at the museum and be open for special events.
And if you haven’t see the video from the weekend event, don’t miss it. Thanks to our volunteer videographer, Cody Emslie, for his help.
And to all our 30-plus volunteers who helped make Open Cockpit Day a huge success, a giant thank you. We could not have done it without you!
