The Halifax Bomber: Bringing the Legend Back to Life

The Alberta Aviation Museum 2019 Speaker Series gets underway January 24 with a look at the efforts underway by the Halifax 57 Rescue Society Canada.

Karl Kjarsgaard is the project manager and director of this effort to bring a rare Halifax bomber, flown by so many Canadians and Allied airmen during the Second World War, back to Canada. Kjarsgaard is also a director of the Bomber Command Museum in Nanton, home to Lancaster FM-159.

The event starts at 7:00pm with doors opening at 6:30pm. Admission is $8 for members and $10 for non-members, available online or at the door.

This is the first of six speakers who will be making presentations over the next four months. Details are still being worked out, but we will have more information soon.
