Beauty from Wreckage

More than half the aircraft you see today in our collection started out as wrecks. Over the three decades that the museum has been operating, our volunteers have lovingly, and persistently, worked to turn twisted pieces of metal, broken wood, and rotting fabric into gleaming historic aircraft.

Among the finished projects include a Fairchild 71C, an Anson MKII, a Mosquito bomber, a B-25 Bomber, and two Noorduyn Norsemans.

New projects are underway and we welcome you to have a look at what goes into making an aircraft. Our volunteers are always happy to explain what they are doing and share their stories.
